Eligibility for Admissions: A Minimum aggregate of 60% in the qualifying degree examination for All Programmes. See table below for programme wise eligibility.
Degree Programmes Input Qualification
Biotechnology in Bio-chemistry and Microbiology.
Chemical Engineering; Civil Engineering; Computer Science; Mechanical Engineering Communication Engineering Integrated first degree of BITS in Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Instrumentation or its equivalent.
Design Engineering; Manufacturing Systems Engineering Integrated first degree of BITS in Mechanical or its equivalent or M.Sc. (Tech.) Engineering Technology of BITS or its equivalent with the requirement of taking certain additional courses.
Embedded Systems Integrated first degree of BITS in Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Computer Science or its equivalent.
Microelectronics Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ CSc/ Physics.
Software Systems Any Integrated first degree of BITS or its equivalent.
M.Pharm. Integrated first degree of BITS in Pharmacy or its equivalent.
M.Pharm. Integrated first degree of BITS in Pharmacy or its equivalent.
Note: Candidates with B.E./B.Tech degree in IT area will be eligible to apply for M.E. Software Systems only (they are not eligible for M.E. Computer science). They may also need some specific prior preparation.
Application Procedure:
The last date for applying Online to the Higher degree programs is 5.00 PM, 29th April 2017.
Admission Modality:
For admission to Higher Degree programmes leading to M.E./M.Pharm. candidates have to appear in the Online tests conducted by BITS at designated centers in different cities (See the advertisement and the detailed brochure available at the website while applying online) and the admission is made on the basis of the performance in the online test subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria.
